Cleaning, sharing, and still smiling

Up early.

Time for cleaning: hot shower, hot water and lemon to drink, floor to sweep.

My friend comes over for yoga. Can I guide her in practice? I somehow do, though the words come out wrong and I don’t know how to read another’s body. Am I teaching or are we just practicing together? I move with her sometimes and other times I observe. A hand here to soften shoulders, to trace a line along her spine. I think reassurance is needed.

Afterwards we thank each other. It’s heartfelt. She has put her trust in me and I have offered her all I can.

We hug. And then we part and go on with our days. I hope she’s still feeling the openness we cultivated together. I hope she’s still smiling.

I am.

Happy Monday everyone!
